What Is My Ring Size?!
It’s definitely frustrating not knowing your ring size, no doubt. Whether you have a lot of rings, have 0 and are looking to buy one or you want to determine ring size for someone else, it is always good to get a little refresher. If it’s been a while since you last measured your finger, take a minute to re-measure. Though you can head down to your local jeweler to determine your ring size, there is no need to do this when you can easily measure your finger and get your ring size at home.
If you’ve already purchased a ring and it turned out to be the wrong size, most places allow you to resize, so it shouldn’t be a problem. If you’ve purchased a ring from us and it was the wrong size — don’t worry! The great thing about our wrap around rings is that they are already adjustable! However, if it is still too small or too large, contact us and we’ll work with you to get you what you need.
To determine your ring size, the best place to start is with the rule of averages and the average ring size for women.
Average Ring Size For Women
For most women, the average ring size for women is between a ring size 5 and a ring size 7. Additionally, the average size woman in the United States is about 5 feet 4 inches tall. Thus, you can use these averages to determine someone else’s ring size if you’re buying a ring in secret! You can go off of these averages to determine a ring size without her knowing.
For instance, if she is a little shorter than the average US height for women and weighs a little more, you can go up a ring size or two. If she’s a little taller and a little thinner, you can go down a ring size or two.
While using the averages isn’t the best way to determine ring size, it can work. However, not every woman fits within these averages, and so this rule really might not help you figure out her ring size. Furthermore, some women prefer a tighter-fitting ring, while others prefer it a little looser. In addition, it is a good idea to keep in mind that the dominant hand on any person might be a little larger. So, for instance, if she’s right handed, but you are looking for an engagement ring size to go on her left hand, she might be a half size smaller on her left hand than she would be on her right.
If you’d rather not guesstimate her ring size, there are plenty of other methods you can do to determine her ring size. Unfortunately, the following methods might spoil the surprise, but at the very least you’ll know you’re getting the right size!!

Still not quite sure how to determine ring size?

With standard ring sizes, keep in mind that each ½ size measures about 0.4 millimeters. When measuring your finger, make sure your finger is at a normal body temperature and is not drastically colder or hotter than normal. When too cold or too hot, fingers can shrink or expand. If the knuckle is significantly bigger than the finger is at the base, take two separate measurements and choose a size in between. This is because you want the ring to fit over your knuckle, but not be so loose that it slides right off!
